On Toons-day this week I posted a cartoon about goals. Also, I included a reference to an article and forgot to include the link to the article. If you want to read it click here. The article was written by Gretchen Rubin for the Huffington Post Living section.
I subscribe to the Mind Tools blog and find the information they post is useful for career and home life. If you have a theme you want to work on for the new year take a look at the many ways you can achieve the direction you desire in life.
Here are the Five Golden Rules for Goal Setting taken from Mind Tools:
- Set Goals that Motivate You
- Set S.M.A.R.T. Goals
- Set Goals in Writing
- Make an Action Plan
- Stick With It!
The Five Golden Rules are suggestions which can be helpful hints to give you more ideas to work with.
One of the things I do to help me is I tell someone about my intention. I have done that right here. Yes, I have told you. Now you can ask me, “How are you doing at creating balance in your life?” That’s right! You can ask. We can talk about the challenge of creating balance.
